The Sooners are expected to roll out a variation of the Rough Riders uniform for this Saturday’s game against Kansas State. In addition, Lincoln Riley has confirmed the helmets will feature a black stripe. The white helmets with steel gray facemasks will have a black stripe running down the center, as well as a black neck guard in the back. Photos were first shared on Twitter by @TribeTooLive.
Lincoln Riley later confirming the addition to helmet as part of OU’s Unity initiative. In the Missouri State game, the helmet had the Unity helmet sticker, which appears in the screenshot as well.
