Coach Patty Gasso joined ESPN’s Stephen A Smith on Monday to discuss the state of the WCWS facilities in Oklahoma City and the tournament as a whole. The 5-time national champion pointed out the inconsistencies with other NCAA team tournaments, highlighting the lack of instant replay, and the fact that the tournament is compressed to afford no rest days for teams.
Additionally, Gasso sent a shot across the bow of the WCWS stadium, calling out the lack of basic facilities, such as no showers (srsly, WCWS?!) and other locker room crumminess.
“We deserve instant replay, we deserve locker rooms, we deserve showers, we deserve batting cages.”
