SoonerSports TV Host Meg McDonald posted an interesting photo earlier today, that of people sitting in tents and chairs, lining up for the Athletic Department’s annual equipment sale. That’s right, this isn’t for OU – Texas tickets, like we did back in the day, but for used equipment, shoes, apparel and other stuff.
After cancelling the event last year due to COVID, OU announced the return of the sale this week. Per the Athletic Department
“The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department has announced that its Summer Sale of equipment, shoes, apparel and other items will take place on Saturday, June 19, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The event will be held at the Mosier Indoor Track Facility, which is located one block east of Gaylord Family β Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
Due to COVID restrictions, the sale was not held last year. Organizers said that the 2021 sale will be the largest the department has ever staged.
Merchandise will include football helmets (crimson and alternate), football jerseys, cleats, running shoes, Jordan Brand apparel, sweatshirts, sweatpants, baseball jerseys, softball jerseys, T-shirts from most sports, shorts and much more.”
Admitedly, that’s some cool stuff, but lining up overnight to get in? That’s some dedication.
Orrrrr, you could also check out this gear from Fanatics…
