General consensus is that OU has not been putting away the teams they should be, such as holding on to a 5 point win against 1-7 Tulane, or a come from behind win at 1-7 Kansas. Coach Patty Gasso joined ESPN’s Stephen A Smith on Monday to discuss the state of the WCWS facilities in Oklahoma City and the tournament as a whole. The 5-time national champion pointed out the inconsistencies with other NCAA team tournaments, highlighting the lack of instant replay, and the fact that the tournament is compressed to afford no rest days for teams.
