In what should be a surprise to absolutely no one, it sure looks like the Williams family is headed out. According to Twitter user SoonerP1, Caleb’s dad, Carl, was seen over the weekend loading the family truckster, along with various goods, on a flatbed trailer. Did anyone see this coming? Turns out quite a lot of you — in our recent poll of nearly 90% of the Sooner Nation thought CW was most likely gone – and nearly half of you said there was no chance he’d be suiting up for OU next season. Looks pretty accurate. https://twitter.com/SoonerP1/status/1484958155218075649 What’s Next…

We know that Caleb Williams has entered the transfer portal to explore his options. Understandable, considering that his head coach that originally drew him to Norman last year, has bailed on him and his team. It’s also clear that the coaching changes that Oklahoma made with HC Venables, OC Lebby and others, hasn’t dissuaded him from at least testing the waters of free agency. And now, mere hours after his announcement, former UCLA née UCF QB Dillon Gabriel has announced his plans to transfer in, reuniting with Lebby, his former OC at Central Florida. So, a lot of moving parts!…

If you haven’t already heard the news, Caleb Williams announced Monday afternoon that he intends to enter the transfer portal, and that remaining at OU is still an option. Several current and former OU players weighed in on the news, with some teammates even offering predictions. Former players also chimed in, with notable input from another OU QB who transferred out. Trevor Knight, who played at OU through the 2015 season, before moving on to A&M tweeted this: https://twitter.com/trevor_knight9/status/1478136549476864000 In response to AD Castiglione and Coach Venables announcement, graduating Sooner Caleb Kelly dropped the following: https://twitter.com/calebkkelly/status/1478116464263454720 Incoming true freshman QB…

Of note is that Williams mentions that staying at OU is an option. The University also released a statement on behalf of AD Castiglione and Coach Venables in response to Caleb’s announcement (at bottom). From @CALEBcsw: This season has been incredible. Hi there, and thank you for using SoonerApp. It is hard to believe that we are wrapping up the app’s 10th season covering OU football and news! This app is a labor of love for me. I write mobile apps for a living, and this is the one for-fun app I get to do. Luckily for me, I’m not the only who enjoys reading about our Sooner football. While I’d still be doing the app even if it were just me using it, having so many of you enjoy it with me makes it so much better! So, thank you…

Just when we thought we’d gotten all of our laughs from that bizarre press conference, pep rally, fever dream or whatever that was that USC put together at the Mecca of college football, another edit of it comes out that tops them all. Check out the video below where Jason Gallagher mashes up the clip with an SNL bit that actually, somehow, makes the USC pep rally more palatable. https://twitter.com/jga41agher/status/1468297411240280064 For reference, here is the unedited version that Mr Muleshoe’s new bosses thought perfectly aligned with their new hire. https://twitter.com/JoshMCallaway/status/1468075479936782338 17 Days Til Christmas

Yep, you read that right. Today, the Oklahoma Senate sent out an official press release detailing a bill to rename three inches of remote highway after the former OU coach. The release reads: “Following the sudden and unexpected departure of the University of Oklahoma’s former head football coach that left the Sooner Nation and other football fans in shock, Sen. Bill Coleman has requested legislation to properly ‘honor’ Lincoln Riley. The bill request asks to name the last three inches of the westbound lane of State Highway 325 in the panhandle as the ‘Lincoln Riley Highway'”. LOL, now that is…

At Monday’s introduction party in the Everest Center, new OU Head Coach thank several mentors, his family and others for supporting him on his journey through coaching. He also mentioned overcoming a difficult childhood, and how it shaped him as a person. In 2019, Tiger Illustrated did a series on their then-DC Brent Venables, detailing growing up in Salina, Kansas. After Venables was hired as OU’s new Head Coach the folks at Tiger Illustrated released the article for all to read, and man it is story. We may have known of Venables since his first stint at OU, or even…

There is a clip of a USC press conference going around that is so bad that you can’t not watch it. It appears to be a pep rally of some sort for Lincoln Riley, but it is just a hot mess of cringe. After watching it a few (dozen) times, it thought it would work better with some Curb Your Enthusiasm end credits. Enjoy! https://twitter.com/SoonerApp/status/1468236437527187469 No idea what is going on here, though we’re only given a couple of minutes of video in the original. USC Media Team appears to have taken less time to plan this thing than Mr…
